By the end of this workshop, participants will:

✅ Learn how choice, predictability & agency change how a dog’s brain responds to handling
✅ Recognise trigger stacking & how to reduce it in real grooming environments
✅ Gain a clear framework for reading dogs more accurately & responding with curiosity instead of control
✅ Learn why games work (they’re not distraction — they’re skill‑building tools)
✅ Explore how games help dogs develop:
Optimism
Confidence
Focus
Disengagement
✅ See real‑world application through a case study showing progress over time
✅ Take away practical, immediately usable strategies to create calmer grooms & safer outcomes
✅ Leave with a clearer picture of how cooperative care supports long‑term wellbeing & sustainable grooming careers
❌ How to groom
❌ how to force a dog to do something they don't like
❌ Results if you don't put in the time and patience needed
note: this event is for humans only, I'm afraid. Furry family members should remain at home.

Develop your canine behaviour knowledge in a fun & easy-to-understand format from a certified Grooming behaviour specialist

Through the power of games and learning from some of the top experts in their field, I’ve been able to help my dogs and many others get more comfortable, confident, & optimistic, not just in the grooming salon and at the vets, but outside in the real world too. At the tender age of 50 I finally figured out what I wanted to do when I grew up. The thrill I get from seeing a dog go from anxious to awesome is indescribable. The more I learn, the more I realise just how little I know. My goal is to continue my learning and share as much as I can with others who like me who feel they're failing their canine companions.

my own journey is ongoing. what I've learned so far is just too good not to share. I want to spread the word with you and enable you to help more dogs in the world.
